Show "#N plays scrobbled on Last.fm" in Client when playing songs

I'd love to have the last.fm client show me how often a song has been scrobbled so far.

This makes it easier to discover invalid/wrong ID3 tags. Sometimes punctuation is wrong or something else you, yourself won't discover.

Even freedb, musicbrainz, gracenote sometimes don't get it right.

    How about it?

    Edit:
A good example would be this:
    http://www.last.fm/music/Blur/_/Song2
    http://www.last.fm/music/Blur/_/Song+2
  • Agreed. I generally have to be aware of the potential problem, then click the client's link to the song page, and check whether it has a realistic number of listens.

good one. as what possiblenonsens said.
mai daiz az a unsub, dey iz numbrd.
n i not knoe dat many numbrz
    :'(
  • That is a cool idea. Be warned, though, that it won't work on all songs. For example, Jordin Sparks's "No Air" would have more plays than it's correct tag, "No Air (feat. Chris Brown)". But yes, it would generally work for spelling errors or punctuation.
  • I could live with that. I hate having to input the full tags for things like that.

How do I see whether the admins/developers took note of this suggestion?
  • You don't. You might develop expectations of action being taken if you knew that they saw it.
