!!! is a pioneering brooklyn / sacramento based band that fuses together elements of rock, electronica and funk to create music that is often described as dance punk or punk funk.

!!! is pronounced by saying a one syllable sound three times in a row. The most common pronunciation is “chk chk chk” or “chik chik chik”, but can also be pronounced “pow pow pow”, “bam bam bam”, “uh uh uh”, etc.

!!! formed out of the bands The Yah Mos, Black Liquorice, and the Popesmashers and has since released three albums (!!!, Louden Up Now and Myth Takes(released on the Warp label)), a split with Out Hud, and a bunch of singles & EPs (for instance the cover EP Get Up/Take XTC With Me).

In 2006 !!! supported Red Hot Chili Peppers on part of their Stadium Arcadium tour, pulling off critically acclaimed performances in London’s Earls Court.
