Мельница (which is a Russian word for a windmill, pronounced “melnitsa”) is a folk band from Russia. Band members play cello, two acoustic guitars, bass, flute and percussion. The band features vocals by Хелависа. Мельница’s music is inspired by traditional and medieval music (celtic, Scandinavian and Russian), as well as rock and even metal, with fairy-tale and fantasy-themed lyrics.
