Aceyalone and RJD2Biography
In 2006 Los Angeles based MC Aceyalone joined forces with Philadelphia based producer and DJ RJD2 to release Magnificent City. Singles released off of Magnificent City were “Fire”/”Heaven” and “Supahero”/”Disconnected.” The combo brought together a rare collaboration of East and West Coast indie hip-hop. Shortly after the release and subsequent tour RJD2 took a break from hip-hop to concentrate on a more eclectic sound with The Third Hand, where he sung and played instruments on almost every track. Aceyalone has continued on releasing Grand Imperial later in 2006 and Lightning Strikes in 2007.
