Spirit They're Gone, Sung Tongs, possibly Here Comes the Indian and Campfire Songs all rank higher than this album to me (even though I do really like a lot of this album) . I really like Street Flash from Water Curses and their recent non-album live tracks though.

As a huge AC fan and a bigger Can fan, Gman, I have to say that they're not at all like Can in sound, and their albums don't follow parallel developments. That said, Strawberry Jam is definitely their best yet and the best album of last year.

Not really sure why some AC fans don't like Strawberry Jam (or don't understand it, maybe?) I've always considered AC to be a Can for modern times and if I extend that comparison, I think Strawberry Jam is their 'Future Days'. It might be hated by some of their original fans but you can be sure that in about 20 years time it'll be considered to be one of their best albums.
