A Chicago native and American-Columbian who moved to Houston TX at a young age, Yoria started playing guitar while attending the University of Houston after meeting a guy “who taught me how to play a couple of chords on the guitar” (Arthur Yoria’s Myspace).

Magnatune.com describes Yoria’s style as having “the weight of a thousand break-ups, but somehow manages to soar effortlessly to a place where joy, goose bumps, and repeated listens are unavoidable.”

To produce his first album “I’ll Be Here Awake”, Yoria and his friend Matt Maloney started 12Records in 2003, and has also released EPs in both English and Spanish.

Yoria has been featured on the OC, the Felicity DVD release, several MTV shows, and independent films. His music is also featured in the National Lampoon film, Adam & Eve.
