This group consisted also of his partner Webb. Following a fallout with his partner, Canibus pursued a solo career and began infiltrating the mix-tape circuit. By 1997, he had approached the brink of the major-label rap game, guesting regularly on high-profile releases: He contributed to “Uni-4-orm,” an inclusion on the Rhyme & Reason soundtrack also featuring Heltah Skeltah and Rass Kass; “Love, Peace & Nappiness,” an inclusion on the Lost Boyz’s Love, Peace & Nappiness also featuring Redman and A+; “Making a Name for Ourselves,” an inclusion on Common’s One Day It’ll All Make Sense; the non-album remix of Wyclef Jean’s “Gone Till November.”
And most famously, “4, 3, 2, 1,” an inclusion on LL Cool J’s Phenomenon also featuring Redman, DMX, and Method Man.
Of the several guest appearances, “4, 3, 2, 1” certainly meant the most, as it brought together many of New York’s preeminent hardcore rappers and thus ushered Canibus into that same elite class. At the same time, however, Canibus lashed out shortly afterward with the Mike Tyson-featuring “Second Round K.
Including Virtuoso, Killah Priest, Jus Allah, Army of the Pharaohs, Cormega and more…

I thought 2000 bc had better beats than for whom the beat tolls to be honest, i like most of the production on can-i-bus too

Rip the Jacker and For Whom the Beat Tolls had great production imo. Only albums that do though.

canibus got nice lyrics but his beats have always been average, would be nice to have a good producer with canibus for a full album (in the studio with the producer to, not just over the net albums)

Well, it was implied you were a retard after your latest three shouts when you decided to be an arrogant whore and tell me I don't even understand what he's talking about. And lol @ telling me to listen to songs I was listening to 5 years ago. Learn to read, I said "I'm not saying Bis doesn't understand everything he raps about either" - I didn't say he is talking out of his ass in every single song, Channel Zero is one of his less bullshit songs - even though he's talking about conspiracy theories as facts. "a molecular archceogenetic laboratory, that can analyze complex poetry data for me " - is what I'm talking about, the shit that he throws together to sound intelligent but when you break it down it makes no sense. Kool G Rap & Rakim > Canibus, everyone knows this.

Again, how do you know he doesn't know what he's spitting. Do you know all? I don't think you even understand what he's talking about. (not necessarily saying you are not smart enough) So give examples. These are guys who have sure as hell researched the subjects they talk about more than you. As have I.

Aardvarked wrote:
Yes he does, exact same problem as with technique. When Canibus just makes dope tracks and when technique makes tracks with great storylines, then it's all good. When they attempt to talk about politics, philosophy or science that they don't understand it becomes cringe worthy. I'm not saying Bis doesn't understand everything he raps about either, but a lot of the time he'll throw something in to a track that will make you think "what?", and not in a good way. Plus, everyone I've ever seen who says "YO MAN UR NOT SMART ENUFF TO GET WHAT BIS IS SPITTIN" is a complete retard, so that says a lot. He's a good rapper though, I think I'll listen to him tomorrow, first time in a while.
