saw him at fillmore and I must say I was less than impressed. Actually played stuff off electric circus (Why?) because Pharrell is on the album and N.E.R.D. was there too. And he had this weird setup like it was suppose to be a play or something, but no one was feeling it. Also, the live band either didn't know what they were playing or were not very good cause the beats were almost undecipherable and Common is probably my favorite rapper.

Yes, Announcement and Universal Mind Control are quite different from his other work, but I wouldn't say that they're "far left." The point of these songs and this upcoming album was to have something to jam to during the summer. Unfortunately, the album was pushed back so maybe it's all pointless now? *shrugs*. I know this isn't HIM though. I'm sure he'll be the same old Common on the next album.
