Fall Stories. Falcon Ridge Emerging Artists Showcase, July 2002.
What is your favorite song by 8?
What is your favorite lyric of 9?
Dave Carter is my favourite lyricist, so narrowing it down to one is impossible. Here is one example: "I will climb the rise at daybreak, I will kiss the sky at noon / Raise my yearning voice at midnight to my mother in the moon / I will make the lay of long defeat and draw the chorus slow / I'll send this message down the wire and hope that someone wise is listening when I go"

Be Nice to Me
I'll Meet You In The Sky

How did you get into 7?
Conehead had said that Gandalf Murphy And The Slambovian Circus Of Dreams were amazing. They happened to be at Clearwater 2002. They were, indeed, amazing. I randomly crossed paths with Sharkey about five times in one afternoon and made eye contact every time. His eyes were really blue. Sharkey and Tink signed my folk t-shirt, and that was it.
What are your favorite three songs by 5?
Hummingbird
Light of the Light
Waiting Under the Waves
Who is your favorite band member in 1?
That's a hard question. I love Brian's and Katie's songwriting in very different ways. I am more connected to Katie as a human being. But what I really love about We're About 9 is their interaction with each other, personally and musically.
What is a good memory concerning 2?
Susan Werner (with Modern Man as backup) doing a hiphop rendition of
"This Land is Your Land" at the Falcon Ridge Folk Quiz. And the Summer in December tour (The Nields, The Kennedys, and Susan Werner) was pretty amazing too. I guess that that's two.
Is there a song by 8 that makes you emotional?
Kiss the Sun,
What are your favorite three songs of 3?
Which of the 10 has influenced you the most?
Probably The Nields. After all, most of everyone else being on that list is their fault.
