Ladyhawke new album entitled "Ladyhawke".
(Rated at 4/5)
"Pip Brown certainly knows one end of a pop tune from the other. Like Santogold, Lykke Li and numerous other solo singers seemingly incapable of actually selling any records, Brown, as Ladyhawke, has set her controls for the heart of the American Apparel-friendly hipster blog scene, but what sets her apart are those tunes. Big tunes. Big, lovable and expertly crafted tunes.”

Rokia Traoré new album entitled "Tchamantche". (Rated at 4/5)
“Rokia Traoré's fourth album, Tchamantché, feels like her best so far, and may be the one to draw in those disbelievers in the Flat Earth Society who defiantly insist that they 'don't listen to world music'. We might even see the singer's face on the front cover of the Wire, in recognition of a true experimentalist.”

Random Recommended Albums
David Byrne & Brian Eno new album entitled "Everything That Happens". (Rated at 3/5)
“There's a particular sea-shanty kind of pop song that Brian Eno has played around with since his 1990 collaboration with John Cale. There are a couple here on this reunion with the former Talking Head, a record on which electronics and a grown-up wistfulness meet in a charming, comfortable manner.”

DJ Mujava new album entitled "Township Funk".
(Rated at 4/5)
“Rumours that Mujava a new talent out of South Africa is in and out of psychiatric hospital are fuelled by his debut: an unhinged number with a feverish breakbeat that exposes the similarities between kwaito and proto-house music. The warbling synth line will possess dancefloors with its dead-eyed magnetism for months..”

Random Recommended Albums
Glasvegas new album entitled "Glasvegas". (Rated at 5/5)
"Darkness on the edge of their town…Thirteen years later, in the same Scottish club, McGee caught another group placed third on the bill. Glasvegas were a four-strong troupe, this time comprising cousins, one of whom, James Allan, played football for Falkirk, Gretna and Queen's Park. They were also, as McGee enthused in a Guardian blog, initiating 12 months of press hysteria, 'rockabilly neds playing a frenetic homage to Elvis, art punk and noise'. Which sounds absurd. It's not.”
Recommended tracks to download.... 'It's My Own Cheating Heart That Makes Me Cry'; 'Flowers and Football Tops'

Roots Manuva new album entitled "Slime and Reason". (Rated at 5/5)
“It’s the rapper’s best work so far. So why does OOM think he’s capable of much more?... Here's a rare experience: You listen to the new album by one of your favourite artists, and you realise it's their best so far and a work of genius... and you feel disappointed. In the case of the fourth album proper by Roots Manuva, aka Rodney Smith, the feeling doesn't stem from any lack of quality, or any whiff of artistic compromise. In fact, it's precisely the opposite, because, at first, you think this is going to be Smith's great, danceable, ebullient pop album, a record to lift the listener's spirits and give Smith a chance of reaching urban kids who'd be far better off worshipping his Jamaican-Brit wit and squelchy electro-funk than the bling 'n' bluster of American hip hop. But the second half of this 14-track, 54-minute album reverts to Roots Manuva type - a journey into the troubled soul of a man who struggles to deal with the realities of life.”
Recommended track to download..... 'Again & Again'; 'Buff Nuff'; 'C.R.U.F.F.'; 'Do Nah Bodda Mi'
http://www.myspace.com/rootsmanuva

Dusk + Blackdown new album entitled "Margins Music". (Rated at 4/5)
“Grime gets surreal and strange in the capable, fiercely innovative hands of Martin 'Blackdown' Clark and his production partner Dan 'Dusk' Frampton. MCs are sampled and looped talking about their lives, their voices submerged in crackle and sparse, minimal beats. Otherwise hardcore rapper Trim is chopped and looped into hypnotic shapes - 'This is not the world I was born in/ I fell from the sky and was kept' - while Roll Deep's Target is recorded and repeated while he delivers monologues about 'nippers doing waterfights' in east London's Limehouse.
Recommended tracks to download..... 'Con/Fusion'; 'Kuri Pataka'
http://www.myspace.com/keysoundrecordings

Fujiya & Miyagi new album entitled "Lightbulbs".
(Rated at 5/5)
“F&M have added intriguing textures to the Krautrock of 2006's Transparent Things: from the title track's powerballadry to the subliminal menace of 'Dishwasher', in which vocaliser David Best reassures a loved one that 'when you are premenstrual, I will play chillout compilation instrumentals' over the bass line to Bauhaus's 'Bela Lugosi's Dead'.
Recommended track to download..... Knickerbocker'
http://www.myspace.com/fujiyaandmiyagi

Metronomy new album entitled "Nights Out".
(Rated at 4/5)
“If the second album is typically the 'difficult' one, no one told Devon's electro-pop eccentric Joseph Mount. He radiates catchiness, transforming any sound, be it Peruvian folk lute, or Radiophonic Workshop-style clang, into an instant party soundtrack . The result is an album that, unquestionably, marks him out as one of the UK's most promising new producers..
Recommended track to download.....’Back On The Motorway’
http://www.myspace.com/metronomy

Marconi Union new album entitled "A Lost Connection".
(Rated at 4/5)
“Fresh from soundtracking an installation at the Museum of Contemporary Art in LA, Marconi Union's third album is centred around themes of isolation and disconnection, so it makes sense that they've self-released it through their own website (marconiunion.com). Minimal, introspective, ethereal electronica, it's arguably their strongest set to date. Gorgeous”
Recommended track to download.....’Endless Winter'

Pinched from this gal.
Answer the questions based on your current top 50 artists (as listed in your overall charts).
1. How did you get into 25?
Apparently I have so many 22s that I only have a 26, which is Strong Bad. I first got directed to a random sbemail in an irc channel.
2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
I've got three 22s, apparently.
Beck: Dunno.
E-Pro, more than likely. I might have heard something earlier and not realised it was his.
Ilan Zagoria: Oh, no idea. He's my uncle, so I've heard his stuff since ages.
Klaus Badelt: Well, whichever one is the first track in Pirates of the Carribean...
3. What’s your favorite lyric by 33?
At the moment it's Big Huge Games, but that's actually Duane Decker. None of the tracks I have of his have any lyrics.
4. What is your favorite album by 49?
Bethesda Softworks, which is really Jeremy Soule's work (who I'll talk about here). The original Total Annihilation sountrack, definately.
5. How many albums by 13 do you own?
London Symphony Orchestra: only the Star Wars soundtrack.
6. What is your favorite song by 50?
It's tagged as Cryo Interactive, but the music is actually by Stéphane Picq and Phillipe Ulrich, as far as I know. Probably Arakeen Palace.
7. Is there a song by 39 that makes you sad?
Queen: Probably
Somebody to Love if anything.
8. What is your favorite album by 15?
System of a Down: Mezmerize, I think.
9. What is your favorite song by 5?
Origin Systems, which is really a variety of people. I don't know; most of the Wing Commander 2 soundtrack.
10. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
Symphony X: Yes, several. Out of the Ashes, Smoke and Mirrors. Incantations of the Apprentice and Wicked because the storytelling's so great.
11. What is your favorite album by 40?
The Superjesus: Jet Age. Only got the one anyway.
12. What is your favorite song by 10?
Rare Ltd., which is actually a few different people. Probably Rock Solid.
13. What is a good memory you have involving 30?
Don't have a #30. Nearest is everyone at #29, but no particular special memories (except for all the fun playing Apogee Software's games, I guess).
14. What is your favorite song by 38?
Hilltop Hoods: Good question. Probably Dumb Enough?. I love the "motherfuckers hear my name and get up outta here!" sample.
15. Is there a song by 19 that makes you happy?
Cavedog Entertainment, which is really Jeremy Soule again. I really like the Morrowind theme.
16. How many times have you seen 25 live?
Who, Strong Bad? Man, that'd be sweet...
17. What is the first song you ever heard by 23?
See #2.
18. What is your favorite album by 11?
Activison, which is mostly Jeehun Hwang and Gregory Alper. Probably Mechwarrior 2: Mercenaries, the guitar's just great. It's a great game, too.
19. Who is a favorite member of 1?
I'm pretty sure Frank Klepacki is one person.
20. Have you ever seen 14 live?
The Beatles: A bit before my time.
21. What is a good memory involving 27?
Gorillaz: probably first few times hearing
Clint Eastwood.
22. What is your favorite song by 16?
Don't have a #16, so I'll go with #17, Royal Hunt:
Break Your Chains.
23. What is the first song you ever heard by 47?
DragonForce:
Soldiers of the Wasteland, on Pandora. Fuck yes.
24. What is your favorite album by 18?
Rammstein: Mutter. Apparenlty I'm not a real Rammstein fan; I didn't really like Sehnsucht and I really liked Mutter.
25. What is your favorite song by 21?
The Namco Sound Team? 中鶴純一's Hubris: Reprise is really, really beautiful.
26. What is the first song you ever heard by 26?
Strong Bad again? Might have been fhqwhgads.
27. What is your favorite album by 3?
It's listed as LucasArts, and that's a variety of artists. That's a very good question. Probably Tie Fighter for the music and it inches out the others for gameplay, too.
28. What is your favorite song by 2?
Red Hot Chili Peppers: ooh, that's a hard one. I love the guitar on Readymade, but I also like Hard to Concentrate,
Snow (Hey Oh), Warlocks and Charlie. And Get on Top. And Otherside. And Parallel Universe.
29. What was the first song you ever heard by 32?
id Software, which is really Bobby Prince and Sonic Mayhem (for Doom and Quake 2 at any rate). Running From Evil, which I'm told is heavily based on Megadeth's
Hangar 18. Played Doom 2, as a little kid, at someone's house before I played Doom. It was the most badass thing I'd ever seen.
30. What is your favorite song by 8?
Ensemble Studios: Stephen Rippy and Kevin McMullan's Flavor Cats (In the Comfort Zone). Great chilled, laid back stuff.
31. How many times have you seen 17 live?
Royal Hunt: None.
32. Is there a song by 44 that makes you happy?
No 44, I'll go with #45, The Laziest Men on Mars: Invasion of the Gabber Robots. I still get a huge grin on my face when I hear that one. And I still love the meme :P.
33. What is your favorite album by 12?
Metallica: Master of Puppets, no question. It's the only one I've got, but I've heard stuff off Load, Reload, Metallica (The Black Album) and St Anger and I wasn't impressed by any of them. Master of Puppets, however, is fantastic.
34. What is the worst song by 45?
Baka Beyond: Bounaka is very repetitive.
35. What was the first song you ever heard by 34?
David Holmes: Dunno. Whatever music is used first in Ocean's 11.
36. What is your favorite album by 48?
Santana: I've only got Greatest Hits.
37. How many times have you seen 42 live?
No #42.
#41: Nintendo Entertainment? None.
#43: Hasbro Interactive? None.
#41: Fling: Twice, back when they were still called Press Gang, both when I was a kid. I'm sure they were really surprised to see this little kid right up the front of the crowd, at the stage, singing along with all the songs.
38. What is your favorite song by 36?
Shiny Entertainment, which the manual lists as Kevin Manthei, Rossano Galante, Bill Boston and The Sacrifice Orchestra. Definately Desecration (Winning)
39. What was the first song you ever heard by 28?
Cake: Probably their cover of
I Will Survive, which is one of my favourite songs of theirs (despite the fact that I don't have it).
40. What is your favorite album by 7?
Firaxis, which is Robert Euvino, Roger Briggs (I think
