Easyworld were a British band who released three albums between 2002 and 2004. They are best known for the songs “(You Make Me Wanna Drink) Bleach”, “Junkies and Whores” and “Till The Day”.
Each album was filled with catchy hooks and lyrics, particularly in their most well known single “Bleach”, which, despite the negative full title (which was edited by their record label), was an upbeat pop song. The song is featured on both “Better Ways to Self Destruct” and “This Is Where I Stand”. On their third and final album, “Kill The Last Romantic”, the band swapped their guitars in favour of piano ballads, making the switch effortlessly. However not all fans found their more ballad based song writing to their tastes. Their earlier energy and faster punchy pop melodies were lost as Dav Ford broadened his song writing.
The pain, heartache and just general human feelings can be felt in every lyric, every note and every emotion fuelled vocal making it an ideal album to bow out on.
The band left on a high rather than fading away.
Lead singer David Ford has since released two solo albums, “I Sincerely Apologise For All The Trouble I’ve Caused” and “Songs For The Road”.

I've only been listening to Easyworld since last autumn when my Easyworld-mad boyfriend introduced me. I haven't stopped since. I still can't get over the fact I found out about them too late. Why, David, Why!?

Where I come from it's considered a fetish to like Easyworld... you listen to them, you love it, but for fuck's sake don't admit to it to anyone!!! But I think they're cool and write great pop music, so fuck anyone who thinks otherwise... If this is all we ever had, it was good enough for me. Oh yeah, I got the David Ford album for $0.88 while on holiday in New York... best bargin of my life!
