The band went through three different lead singers, Chris Carrabba (Dashboard Confessional), Jason Gleason(Affinity, and later ActionReaction) and finally Jon Bunch (Sense Field). The final line-up:
Jonathan Bunch - Vocals (Sense Field)
Josh Colbert - Guitar
Chad Neptune - Bass Guitar (Strongarm)
Steve Kleisath - Drums (Strongarm, Shai Hulud, En Masse)
Derick Cordoba - Guitar.
FSF’s releases in order are:
From the 27th State Split EP (1999)
The Moon Is Down (2001)
Further Seems Forever / Twothirtyeight Split 7” (2002)
How to Start a Fire (2003)
Hide Nothing (2004)
Hope This Finds You Well (2006, retrospective)
Final Curtain (2007, 567 records)
The band also appeared on numerous compilation discs such as Emo Diaries Volume 4, Punk Goes Pop, A Santa Cause: Its a Punk Rock Christmas, and Rock Music: A Tribute to Weezer.
In late 2005, FSF went on a long hiatus. And in January 2006, the band posted a message on their website announcing that their shows in early 2006 through the United States and Canada would be their last as a band. During its existence, FSF gave more than a thousand performances. The individual band members proceeded to new jobs. There would be no new album project, but a compilation entitled Hope This Finds You Well was released by Tooth & Nail Records in April 2006.

the acoustic versions "bleed", "light up ahead" & "make it a part" are perfection!! i like the last album a lot. as a whole, it's musical brilliance.

FSF was far better than any solo stuff Chris released...only band that can pull off 3 CDs with 3 different singers as effortlessly as they did, mad props, all quality CDs...I prefer "How to Start a Fire" tho it just has a sweet feel and having "Insincerity as an Artform" only helps it's cause

Quality, and seemingly underrated, band (and much better than D/C)..Some fresh & innovative guitaring and timing that I feel is ignored by many.. I also like the fact that in one of my (old) posters Jordan of NFG is sporting an FSF hoodie. I proper want one - I like their symbol almost as much as their music..

How To Start A Fire has been the shit since Backyard Wrestling first came out for the PS2. I fucking love that song.

I understand how you feel AManOfTheCrowd. It frustrates me that some people don't see the amazingness of this band. Still my favorite band of all time.

BTW... that's *draws* you to them...

I don't mean to sound over dramatic but these seemingly ignorant people just frustrates the crap out of me.

These people who keep talking smack about FSF doesn't even realize the skill level of musicality that those guys had. Every song is so complex and intricate that simply darwas you to them. Add the lyrics to that and it's a winning formula.

"How To Start A Fire" is being released on vinyl for the first time these days, head over to brokencircles dot com to get a hold of a copy before they sell out, only 1000 made.

@hmathias: from a songwriting, vocal and technical point of view; further seems forever [esp. the moon is down lp] are on a much higher level than dashboard confessional. anyways, i love 'em both :)

And Dashboard Confessional is better? But I agree, this is pretty bad.
