She started singing with nine-piece Icelandic collective Gus Gus when she was just 15 years old. She toured the world throughout the rest of her teens, enjoying Europe-wide recognition and a number one single, as well as widespread attention across the UK and America. On leaving the band, she collaborated with FC/Kahuna, co-writing their singles Hayling and Machine Says Yes. Elsewhere she worked on projects with dance producers Ewan Pearson and Tom Middleton.

Her highly acclaimed debut solo album Dirty Paper Cup (MVine/Red Grape Records) was released on 2nd October 06. Many of the tracks were written with a array of song-writing friends including Chris Corner from Sneaker Pimps, Pascal Gabriel, Artic Monkeys producer Jim Abbiss and Ivor Novello-nominated songwriter Boo Hewerdine.
