I remember getting huge catalogs from the now-defunct Initial Records, and they described HHIG as power-violence, so that was my reference point for them for years

It's awesome how Fifteen Counts of Arson actually has crust and sludge tracks.

Fifteen Counts Of Arson remains as one of my favorite, heavy/crust/thrash influenced hardcore bands of the late 90's. Even with a background in crust/thrash, they managed to gain more and more fans who normally wouldn't like the sort. Seeing them live was always a great time. Wish there were more bands with their mindset in music. Tragedy comes close, but no cigar.

"I always thought they were power violence" You know, now that you mention it....they do sound like powerviolence. I had always tagged them as crust/sludge but that never really sit well with me. of course, i've never really knew for sure what the hell defined crust and sludge. :/

HHIG just play their own bad-ass brand of powerviolence. haha who cares what the genre is though, it's fucking sick heavy music.

neo crust? i fucking hate that genre name. His hero is gone were a heavy punk band, taking influence from lots a shit. They definately arent a screamo band - saetia and all that bullshit is screamo. bands like union of uranus are sometimes tagged as emo violence which is also a bullshit name, but i think his hero is gone has more in common with that than screamo, mainly coz they shared members, came from the same scene and stuff.

Why is it that every time I find a great artist on my own, Red Armada has already been here?
