Hit the Lights originated in Lima, Ohio and consists of members Nick, Omar, Nate, Kevin, and Dave. Hit The Lights plays pop-punk.
After signing to Triple Crown Records in 2005 their debut EP, ‘Until We Get Caught,’ generated lots of buzz within webzines and websites such as AbsolutePunk and Myspace. The band’s debut full-length “This is a Stick Up…Don’t Make it a Murder” was released on April 11, 2006. The band has continually toured since the release of their album playing at Bamboozle left and Warped Tour in 2006.
In June 2007, Colin announced he was leaving the band. The band has recently announced that Nick will be the new lead singer. With a new guitarist accompanying them on tour.
They are in the process of writing and recording their second full length album entitled “Skip School, Start Fights”, due for release on July 8th 2008.
