KUKL
64,108 plays (13,787 listeners)
The band was formed in August 1983 when Ásmundur Jónsson from Gramm Records wanted to create an avant-garde supergroup to perform on the final episode of a radio show called Áfangar. He assembled Björk, vocalist of Tappi Tíkarrass; Einar Örn Benediktsson, a trumpeter and vocalist in Purrkur Pillnikk; keyboardist Einar Arnaldur Melax, from the surrealistic group Medúsa; Birgir Mogensen, the bassist from Spilafífl; and finally drummer Siggtryggur Baldursson and guitar player Guðlaugur Kristinn Óttarsson (a.k.a. Godkrist), both from the band Þeyr.

I found this band because I downloaded a Bjork torrent... Yeah this stuff is awful. It gets on my nerves I just can't stand it! Especially when my headphones only work in one ear!

Absurd. I never thought before that Bijork could have had a darkwave band O_o Great band, anyway. It recalls me some stuff of Virgin prunes,sometimes...the more listenable songs of Virgin prunes,of course ;)

Anyone has the Radio Show of KUKL, were they performed for the first time? It was broadcasted in 1983 and I was told that it is available in one form or another. Your help would be very much appreciated.

You can also BUY things on the internet :O:O There are these strange Amazon.com links under the albums on this page, try looking there. Or try Amazon.co.uk since that is closer to where you live.
