Kevin Drew is a Canadian musician and songwriter who, together with Brendan Canning, founded the expansive Toronto baroque-pop collective Broken Social Scene. He was also part of the lesser-known KC Accidental, which consisted of Drew and Charles Spearin, another current member of Broken Social Scene.

Kevin attended the Etobicoke School of the Arts, along with Metric’s Emily Haines and Stars’s Amy Millan, where he studied drama.

Bah, I still says it's Kevin Drew who's the artist in this situation. It's his solo album released under the label of Broken Social Scene so people pay more attention and it's also going to be an ongoing project with the band to have one member stand out in the spotlight and release an album that's considered THEIR work. BSS is to Kevin Drew as E Street Band is to Bruce Springsteen here. LOL

It may not be too common in indie pop but 'presents' is all over electronica. It usually just means one well known artist is giving a bit of promo love to either a lesser known one, or one of their own side projects. It's not their name, and usually if the first release is a success the 'foo presents:' bit goes away never to be seen again.

I think the classification is Broken Social Scene Presents: Kevin Drew but as an artist he should be tagged as Kevin Drew. Simpler and more sensible.
