Whoa, there are some hataz on this thread. Lighten up, it's a great movie and great soundtrack. And as for Buddy Holly, The Velvet Underground, and The Kinks, there are lots of people who would never have heard ANY of them if not for the movie. And for anyone who knows the Carpenters' version of Superstar and Karen's death, you have to admit the darkness of the Sonic Youth version is just perfect
