Land of Talk consists of Liz Powell (vocals/guitar), Chris McCarron (Bass), and Bucky Wheaton (drums). They formed Land of Talk after forging friendship at Concordia University in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. They’ve released their debut EP “Applause Cheer Boo Hiss,” considered one of the best debut albums by Stereogum, among others. Great hooks, piercing pleasant vocals, and hard chords that can be made to believe they’re Montreal’s answer to Metric (from Toronto). Their first full length album is due out in the first quarter of 2007. In May 2007 Eric Thibodeau replaced Wheaton on drums.
