I know, I know, it's not punx at all to even like Alkaline Trio's latest. Sorry guys. In any case, The Bronx will blow everything else out of the water when their album(s) are released. Come to think of it Knifeman already has by itself.

A friend of mine asked me if I wanted to work at Hovefestival 5 days before the festivalstart. LOL. Of course I said yes! "Free" festivalpass. The negative side was that I didn't get to see all the concerts.
BUT I was pretty lucky and worked as a "runner". Which means that I had to walk around with journalists. So I got to see most of the concerts at work, I even got backstage pass :D I feel sorry for those who worked as toilet cleaners^^
Anyway, here goes nothing.
X = Saw because of boredom or other random reasons
[] = wanted to see, but didn't
[x] = wanted to see and did see
X - name; It was pretty cool actually.
X - Jay-Z; JAY-Z MADDAFAKKA!
X - PIRATE LOVE; garagerock with a mix of punk? didn't work for me.
[] - Les Savy Fav; People say it was one of the best concerts at Hove, and of course I managed to miss it :(
[X] - Animal Collective; TOO FUCKING COOL!
[X] - MGMT; Lol, I think the vocalist smoked a spliff on stage.
[X] - The Kooks; Too bad the drummer Paul Garred didn't come. Pisses me off that some girls came to watch one song(Ooh la) then left. Because it was probably the only song they've heard on the radio.
X - Panic at the Disco; I bet these guys have a script for what to say on concerts. "Hi, we love you guys etc." More like Picnic at the Disco!
X - Black Tide; L A M E
X - Audrey Horne; it was ok, they sound better on the radio though :P
X - Avenged Sevenfold; Used to love them when I was 13-14. Now I don't.
[X] - Pigeon Detectives; Pretty cool, although the singer did the same throwing thing with the microphone 50 times during the concert. Annoying indeed.
[] - Deerhunter; Damn, Really wanted to see them.
[X] - The Wombats; LETS DANCE TO JOY DIVISION! :D
[X] - Vampire Weekend; Greatest concert at Hovefestival 08! My new favourite band (next to my dear Arctic Monkeys)
X - Charlotte and Co Stars; Haha, I was one of the few who saw them, there was like 50 others. I feel sorry for them! The music was great :)
[X] - Thom Hell; Great music for a sunny afternoon.
X - Foals; Pretentious proggy math-rock???
[] - Band of Horses; DAMN I REALLY WANTED TO SEE THEM. Didn't get to see them because the journalist I was with wanted to film Magne F :( Fuck you NRK!
[X] - Beck; Beck looked kinda ill, not as lively as he once was. Anyway he played my 2 favourite tunes: "Devils Haircut" and "Loser".Beck jr. was on stage as well!
[X] - Flogging Molly; IRISH FOLK-PUNK FOR THE WIN! :D
X - Animal Alpha; The singer is a crazy chick, pretty cool actually :D
[] - Joe Lean and the Jing Jang Jong; Bad timing, same playtime as Beck :/ And obviously had to see Beck.
X - Magne F; Had to watch his show instead of Band of Horses because of work. Surprisingly, it was pretty nice.
X - Lukestar; The singar has bad humour, is fat and sings incredibly well! Cheers!
[X] - Yeasayer; EL FANTASTICO. Me and a few others made them play Sunrise!
[X] - The Raconteurs; Jack White's new band, the music is awesome, watching them live was even more awesome. Pretty funny, a guy behind me yelled JACK BLACK. I was like "Dude..." and a few other guys yelled "Babyshamles!" lol, wrong concert lads.
[X] - Sigh and Explode; I don't really like screamo/"post-hardcore", but it was pretty ok.
[] - Jaguar Love; Doh, 2 guys from The Blood Brothers in this band and I didn't get to see it :(
[] - Babyshambles; LOL WHAT A SURPRISE. Pete Doherty DECIDED NOT TO COME. He's a cunt, but he makes good music. Ok he's a wanker.
[] - Opeth; They didn't come because of illness.
[X] - The National Bank; NORWAYS BEST BAND. END OF DISCUSSION.
Don't you love the feeling when you're on a show and the person beside you looks at you and you both smiles and sings together? Best feeling in the world :D
