It sounds a lot like With Or Without You by U2, except that Shadow of the Day has a BIG reason to suck ass - it has only 2 verses with 4 lines in each one (2 last lines are the same in both of them) and a 3 lines chorus which leads to a logical verdict that LP got too lazy to write good lyrics nowadays. Still a nice pop song anyway.
