gossamer-wings, the exact same for me! mezzanine will never die for me, but this album has become just as good. if you've started out with mez, you need Protection to make a smoother transition, otherwise it makes less sense.

"Unfinished Sympathy" is my fav track... the rest of the album is growing on me rather quickly, though. I'll admit that the first time I heard it I wasn't all that impressed - maybe because I was so caught up in the sound of "Mezzanine", which was my introduction to Massive Attack.
