I'm quite sorry I didn't write about
summer songs because it's quite easy to feel the summer atmosphere in them. Some of them may evoke summer to everybody and others are felt subjectively. My summer songs are e.g:
In This World,
A Design for Life,
Heřmánkové štěstí,
Cestou do Jenkovic,
Drowse and others.
But today I write about
autumn,
fall. It's my least favourite season but I'm ready to admit it has some special magic in it. I love those days when the sky is blue with several clouds, sunlight is moderate and golden and you can see millions of colours on the trees and under them.
Yesterday I played
Van Morrison, the album
Back on Top. It has the autumn atmosphere and there are songs
When the leaves come falling down and
Golden Autumn Day. I think he's really an autumn artist because there are other songs on other album which remind me of autumn:
Burning Ground,
Moondance.
Then there are some
Radůza's songs which are inherently autumnal:
Zvony,
Studený nohy,
Jedem and
Nebe-peklo-ráj.
I bought two albums by Queen in autumn 9 years ago, these albums are
Sheer Heart Attack and
The Miracle and especially these tracks:
In The Lap Of The God...Revisited and
Scandal sound really autumnally to me.
I feel an autumn note also in
Don't know why and some other songs but after all I think it's really hard to feel autumn in the songs though it's really easy to feel it in the air.
