Project X, a popular group name, could refer to one of five musical ensembles:

——
A short-lived late 1980s NYC straight edge hardcore band, featuring John Porcelly (Youth Of Today, Judge), Walter Schreifels (Gorilla Biscuits, Youth Of Today), Alex Brown (Side By Side, Gorilla Biscuits) and Sammy Siegler (Side By Side, Youth Of Today, Judge).

They only played a handful of shows on the east coast, and also a few during Youth Of Today’s European tour in 1989. In total, some estimate the band played less than 5 shows. The band also released one 7” ep entitled ‘Straight Edge Revenge’.

——
A band from Boston, Massachusetts, who re-arranged and covered the Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3 Nintendo game soundtracks in their entirety. The two members of Project X are also in another band, Clawjob, in which they record and perform original music rather than covers.

——
“Project-X” with a hyphen. A swedish EBM band that started in 1995 started by the two friends Torny Gottberg and Andreas Sandberg.

Andreas left the band due to studies in the beginning. Project-X now is Torny Gottberg, Bjorn Lager and Mattias Werdenskog.

——
A project of Manuel Reuter, aka DJ Manian. A first single has been on the horizon for a fairly long time, called To The Rhythm / Sky, to be released on the polish label, Flash Music, but that has not yet happened.
