Manchester, United Kingdom (1992 – present)
The band have released four albums so far, ‘Puressence’ in April 1996, ‘Only Forever’ in August 1998, ‘Planet Helpless’ in 2002 and Don’t Forget to remember in 2007. ‘Planet Helpless’ was hailed as the band’s greatest, with lead singer James stating that it was, “like 15-20 years of all the different facets of Manchester music, the acid house scene, the Roses, the Mondays, even Joy Division all rolled into the present day 2002.”
With such a melting pot of excellent influences, it was little wonder that the band decided to part company with their last label after being advised in a bizarre record company meeting, “We need you to sound more like Savage Garden”.
Now, free from the shackles of that bound them in the form of major record company, the band are ready to release their most inspired offering yet.
Massive in Greece – their last album reached number 4 in the Greek charts – America has recently acknowledged the band’s excellence with the group’s first US offering (a collection of songs from the band’s first three albums) scheduled for an Autumn release with a tour of North America set to coincide.

drop down to earth is really good, massive return to form. one quam whaaaaaaaaa is third rock? sounds absolutely nothing like them!! lastfms changed alrite.. Third Rock is a mistagging of a soul/hip-hop act called Pure Essence, unfortunately last.fm corrects that name to the Manny indie band.
