Today I had some free time while waiting for my next course. I tuned into Last.fm and it played Since We Last Spoke and i decided to buy the CD _now_ because this track absolutely rocks.
The tune stayed in my ear on my way from university to the record shop, no need for an mp3-player.
It was filed under HipHop. Since We Last Spoke is IIRC the first "HipHop"-CD i bought in this century and it is not at all like the CDs i bought in the 90s. Not only because of the missing MC.

My other items i bought today are:

* "Echos" by Lacrimosa. I knew them from "Grenzwellen" but never bought a CD and recently rediscovered them on Last.fm.
Grenzwellen was a radio show covering EBM, industrial and other gothic music on radio ffn. Today they are just a website on the Net. After listening to todays Top40-crap-radio, it is unbelievable that such a show was broadcasted regulary by a commercial radio station.

* and finally "Su" by Mercan Dede, the only Turkish artist so far that has music on Last.fm.
