Rivers Cuomo (born June 13, 1970 in New York, NY) is a Grammy-nominated musician, best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and principal songwriter of the rock band Weezer. He released his debut album, Alone: The Home Recordings of Rivers Cuomo, in December 2007, which featured home demos that Cuomo has recorded from 1992-2007. Cuomo mainly plays electric guitar and acoustic guitar, but he can also play drums, bass guitar, clarinet, harmonica, and piano.

Rivers is absolutely brilliant. His new idea of having YouTube help him create a new single for Weezer is beyond experimental - it's ingenious. I'm going to have to agree with Gamebrain, he is a fair bit like a modern-day Brian Wilson. He's done so much and is remarkably talented like Wilson was. Not to diss the rest of Weezer, they're all quite accomplished and versatile in playing different instruments.
