Roy Acuff (1903-1992) was an American country singer. He became famous for his concerts in the Grand Ole Opry and was later the founder of the music publishing company Acuff-Rose, featuring Hank Williams, the Everly Brothers and Roy Orbison among others in Nashville, TN.
