Ruins
On Tour303,330 plays (22,749 listeners)
Tokyo, Kantô, Japan (1985 – present)
The only constant member of Ruins is the drummer/vocalist Yoshida Tatsuya (吉田達也), who has cycled through four different bassists since the band’s inception.
Ruins are known for their rapidly shifting and complex rhythms and for often sounding like five artists instead of two. Both members sing/shout/twist vocal chords in an artificial language created by Yoshida, in much the way that Magma (also a musical influence) used the Kobaïan language.
Ruins is also an Australian Black Metal band formed in Hobart. The band consist of Alex Pope (guitars, bass, vocals) and featuring Dave and Joe Haley of Psycroptic fame as studio and live musicians. So far they released one EP Atom And Time (2003) and two full length CDs: Spun Forth As Dark Nets (2005)and Cauldron (2008). Currently they are signed to Neurotic Records label. Their website is www.ruinsband.com.au. Recently they have been invited to support acts such as Satyricon and Immortal during their tours of Australia.

Kuddos! Refusal Fossil is amazing! Try Hyderomastgroningem, Mandala 2000 / Live at Kichijojo Mandala II and Burning Stone if you can get hold of a copy. The best of Ruins 1986- 1992 is well worth a listen as well!

Are_you_a_tag wrote:
Music is music; not pop-rock, nor progressive death metal, is music. If we keep on tagging songs and bands people will keep on listening to the same music, the same (for us) insipid bands, because they think they wouldn't like other generes. There are many cases of bands whose sound seems very similar to other bands' sound but they're taged so different that most listeners don't give them any chance. Delete all your tags and tag " music" all your bands. http://www.last.fm/group/Man+is+stupid+-+Man+thinks+he+can+tag+the+music. Let's change this situation!

For stormchaser, I started off with Pallaschtom, which was a good start I think. Symphonica and Hydromastgroningem are good starts as well.
