’S.H.E’ is a popular Taiwanese girl group, consisting of 3 young girls named Selina (任家萱), Hebe (田馥甄) and Ella (陳嘉樺). They have so far released a total of 10 albums:

The group’s name S.H.E. comes from the first letter of each member’s name (names which were chosen for them by their company after they took personality tests). The name Selina represents “gentleness”. The name Hebe represents “confidence”. And the name Ella represents “courage”.
The group was formed when HIM International Music held a ‘Universal 2000 Talent and Beauty Girl Contest’ in search for new artists to be signed under their label. At the beginning, only one of the thousands of contestants who entered was to be given a contract, but because of their incredible performance, all three of the girls were signed together under HIM International records. Together, they formed S.H.E with Selina Ren, Hebe Tien and Ella Chen.
With regard to vocal range, Ella sings alto, while Selina and Hebe sing anywhere from mezzo-soprano to soprano.
