Scar Symmetry is a melodic death metal band from Avesta, Sweden formed in 2004. In addition to typical melodic death metal aesthetics (numerous melodies and harmonies in the guitars, growling vocals, etc.), they incorporate symphonic sounds into their music. They also utilize a combination of clean vocals, which some fans find akin to power metal. Therefore their style is often described as “New Melodic Death”. Their lyrics are themed towards mysticism, philosophy, and inner struggles. They had been touring through North America with Dark Tranquillity, The Haunted and Into Eternity, and took part in a US/Canada tour with Katatonia, Insomnium, and Swallow the Sun in 2007.

by the way new growling vocalist Roberth Karlsson is pretty experienced-he sang in progressive death metal legend Pan.Thy.Monium and also he sang with Edge Of Sanity, he recorded album Cryptic right after Swano left. So i guess everything will be ok with Scar Symmetry. although i really like Christians voice
