Coming Soon: "Main Hoon Na"'s Successor "Om Shanti Om"

If you are seriously into Indian cinema in general or Bollywood in particular, I don't have to tell you about "Main Hoon Na" (which is one of my favorite movies of all time).

The long-awaited second movie by MHN's director Farah Khan, "Om Shanti Om", which also stars Shahrukh Khan will have a worldwide release on Friday, November 9, 2007.

Among many others, the list includes Abhishek Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan, Bindu, Bobby Deol, Sanjay Dutt, Govinda, Karan Johar, Kajol, Karisma Kapoor, Saif Ali Khan, Rani Mukherjee, arjun rampal, Hrithik Roshan, Sunil Shetty, Tabu, and Preity Zinta (in alphabetical order).

I've been listening to the soundtrack by Vishal & Shekhar (lyrics: Javed Akhtar) for a few days - it's great! It has a wonderful variety of styles - cinematic orchestra pieces, Bollywood dance songs (including many club remixes), and nice ballads. The title song "Deewangi Deewangi" is extremely catchy.

The list of singers is as stellar as the movie's cast list: KK, Sukhwinder Singh, Shaan, Udit Narayan, Shreya Ghoshal, Sunidhi Chauhan, RAHUL SAXENA, Sonu Nigam (whom I've just seen live), Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Richa Sharma, Abhijeet, DJ Aqeel, DJ Kiran, DJ G, Jackie V, Zoheb, DJ Nikhil Chinapappa, DJ Nawed, Abhijit Nalani.

If you liked the "Main Hoon Na" soundtrack, you'll enjoy "Om Shanti Om" as well!

Looking for Your Recommendations of Indian Film Soundtracks at emusic.com

For quite a while, one of my favorite sources for legal downloads of bollywood songs and soundtracks of Indian movies in general has been emusic . They charge 25 US cents or less a song (to US customers), and most of their (non-copy protected) MP3 files have better audio quality than iTunes downloads.

emusic features a large variety of Indian soundtrack albums (here's a link to their Indian film section).

Since their selection is vast, I am very much interested in your recommendations. Have you discovered any great Indian film music at emusic?
