Sister Hazel is an American musical group whose style blends elements of alternative pop, folk, Root and Southern rock.
The band came together in the vibrant college town of Gainesville, Florida, and while most local bands never got out of the small city, Sister Hazel’s popularity grew in concentric circles until the band was recognized all over the country. The group prides itself on being down to earth, devoting much of their time to fans and charity events.

It's amazing what you can do if you just change your mind. Ken Block, the lead singer/guitarist/cowriter, used to be a druggie and alchoholic after his younger brother Jett passed away from cancer. But then he got sober and clean, and wrote 'All For You'. Then, in 1994, Sister Hazel was born (this is my birthyear exactly. Serendipitous?) They were named after a nun Ken heard about when he was younger. She helped homeless people get cleaned up and fed. I wonder uf she's still alive, or if she heard of this... Anyway, Sister Hazel is my most favoritest band in the history of pretty much the world. They have alot to say, and seriously turned me around to this planet that has so much to offer, so much to wonder and be. My favorite song by them, which i love past the bounds of sanity, is Mandolin Moon. (PS if you haven't guessed already im a Hazelnut freak) Live on Luna
