I think the majority of the "emo" in the west is more of a mix of emo and pop-punk with really exaggerated lyrics. The Local Art is emo but I've never really cared since they don't sound like the cliches of the genre. For some reason their kodama album didn't impress me as much as I thought it would(I heard some of it way back when but only recently got back to it). Still, nearly all their other works are fantastic. ~hideki~

I suppose their Emo isn't the same as western crap-fest Emo, so I'll let the tag slide... but I love the fact that the drummer is the primary vocalist, unique!

Sí, pepe, en verdad su música es emo, pero el VERDADERO emo, no ese made in u.s.a emo que es un simple pop punk para adolescentes poseros.

Agreed. The cultural trend makes me want to head-butt small children, but the band's amazing. Drummer songwriter/singers are hard to come by...and I've never found one that I didn't like. サヨナラだけは言葉にできない is my favorite track; especially the remastered version in their late single.

well you really have to hate what the word emo is representing nowadays in western music... <_<

In that point of view its ok, they are correctly emo... A vocal and drummer eh! I love this band, in fact, they don't sound like that 14-years-old-american-emo

because they really are emo. they've been featured in emo compilations. the band call themselves as emo. they're proud of it.
