The Thermals, formed in 2002, are an indie/punk band from Portland, Oregon on the label Sub Pop Records. The group is currently made up of Hutch Harris (vocals and guitar), Kathy Foster (bass), as Lorin Coleman recently left the band to pursue other projects. Ben Barnett (guitar) known best for his solo act Kind of Like Spitting left the band in 2003, shortly after the recording of More Parts Per Million, offsetting the axe-wielding duties to Hutch. Jordan Hudson (drums) left the band in 2005. Caitlin Love played on a european tour but had to quit due to chronic back pain. They have released three albums, More Parts Per Million, Fuckin’ A, and The Body, The Blood, The Machine (released in 2006).
