The first time I heard this song was the first time I'd heard the twilight sad, and it was live. The first minute or so was sung completely a cappella but the atmosphere created was just phenomenal. It gives me chills just to think of it. This boy has a good set of lungs on him, and a beat of an accent to match! A favourite to sing walking home drunk on a Saturday night, or a Tuesday night... Or a Wednesday night... Most nights I guess =/

Worth listening for the accent alone :)

if you've just heard the alternate version, the original feel like it's been speeded up x3! hmmm don't know why last.fm limits the YouTube video results for the songs, but there's a recently recorded live version that sits perfectly between the two versions, I think it was recorded in Edinburg, awesome video!

perfect opener? true. it just sets the mood for the whole record! the song is so beautiful, you can truly feel the sadness in James' voice. I don't care what you've done, come back. *sigh*
