I've seen Torche in a live setting, and it was great. I bought their album Meanderthal at the concert. Lair of the Minotaur played at the same concert. It sucks that I didn't see Boris, though.

Pretty win I'd say. The singer/guitarist looks like Lenin, so that makes them worth emmulating.

Any Torche fans who havent heard Steve Brooks old band FLOOR should probably do so immediately. For all those who know, jam the fuck on.

RedArmada: you can't still ignore the fact that Steve Brooks sounds a lot like Burton C. Bell (at least on the Meanderthal album). I still think Torche is a lot better than Fear Factory though (heh, I haven't even listened to fear factory for like 3 years). One band I think Torche reminds me a lot of (at least before Meanderthal) is Isis. Really, the ambient parts of their songs sounds a lot like Isis (Bring Me Home from In return for example). Not really strange though since they are released on Isis label Hydrahead
