Yea, what a master. Seen him live a few times and he is just such a perfectionist, all the band are listening and waiting on his que and his timing or they get the stare.

If you're a Van Morrison fan, you need to check out Bob Dylan's new CD, "Tell Tale Signs." I've been pretty much listening to it non-stop cuz it's super awesome! Go pick it up if you haven't already!! http://www.bobdylan.com

We could call it ether, but then it becomes way less sublime and way more highschool chemistry. All I know is that when it's a rainy morning and I put my copy of Veedon Fleece on the turntable salvation suddenly is placed within my grasp, son.

you are allowed to write not only in capitals ;) Van Morrison's music is a place of quiet and silence, why shouting around? nah, I am just kiddin. spiritual transcendence is nothing but a word, an expression. why not calling it ether or so? ether sounds so much more mystical....

Van Morrison is a religion. He's like my spiritual guru - nothing and no one else has ever managed to move me the same way. Autumn makes me want to listen to him even more.

alligatorwino: Common One is beautiful. It sounds as if you'd take a long walk with Van through the countryside or so. Just etheric. Veedon Fleece is not that etheric and relaxed, it is a bit quicker and still quite easy sometimes... Both are excellent albums....it's worth listening to them Greetings, Fabi

Where are his more critical songs like "Showbusiness" "New Biography" "Ivory Tower" "Drumshanbo Hustle"? I mean, "Into The Mystic" is magic and "Brown Skinned-- " ah, pardon me, "Brown Eyed Girl" is a classic, but come on :P

every single album he made since Astral Weeks (perhaps with the exception of Moondance and It's Too Late to Stop Now) has been said to be "underrated". As a fan myself, I'd say that they are probably in their right place.

dunno if I really would love to see him live.. I mean, we all know how grumpy he can be on stage and how inhibited Van can be... That is one thing which makes me being hesitant goin' to one of his concerts... I mean, I really'd love to see him, and if I could travel in time, I'd get myself tickets for the "it's too late to stop now" shows back in 1973.... but time runs short, Van gets older and the chances to see him become less and less....
