Windy & Carl is the music project of musicians Windy Weber and Carl Hultgren. They began collaborating on music in the early 1990s in Dearborn, Michigan,USA. Their sound is very droney, slow and dreamy. Using guitar, bass, and some keyboards and electronic effects as well as Windy’s singing on some tracks they create long delicate washes of sound. They released their first album “Portal” in 1996 and released their most recent effort, an EP named ‘The Dream House” in 2005, after several years of inactivity. A new double album - Songs For The Broken Hearted - is released in October 2008. They are signed with Kranky Records.

I'd love to be able to grab a vinyl copy of Drawing Of Sound. I saw them in 96 and thought they were going to be some boy/girl folk rock duo because of the name. I sat in the audience with my mouth open the whole time. In awe.
