Yuki Isoya (磯谷有希; better known as simply, YUKI) is one of Japan’s most notable female vocalists. Best known as the front-woman and lead vocals of the former rock band JUDY AND MARY, she has also been part of the largely unknown NiNa (with Kate Pierson of The B-52’s) and the all girl rock band Mean Machine (along side Chara).

She was born on February 17, 1972 in Hakodate, Hokkaido to her parents Mo and Ryouko. She has two siblings, an older sister Yukari, and a younger brother Taminori. Her blood type is A. She is married to Magokoro Brothers front man YO-KING. She gave birth to her first child, a baby boy, on April 18, 2003. Sadly however he passed away from unknown causes (SIDS) on March 17, 2005. She gave birth to a second child on August 29, 2006.

As well as being a strong vocalist with prominent and varied longevity in Japan’s music business (including hosting her own radio program), and appearing regularly in various commericals and ads (for cosmetic products as well as a recent campaign for Sony Ericsson cellphones) YUKI is also a very avid fan of fashion. She often models her unique and popularly mimiced wardrobe for magazines such as CUTiE, Non-no, and Zipper. She is also the primary model for the Japanese photography group known as SLEEP.
