Pokémon music is classed as any music from the anime or games, such as the Kanto PokéRap or the VS. Guitarist music.

Most are themes or short songs from the “2BA Master” album.

Any other short themes are from:
GBA Pokémon FireRed & LeafGreen Music Super Complete, which is the FR/LG soundtrack.
GBA Pokémon Ruby & Sapphire Music Super Complete, which is the R/S soundtrack.

Pokémon revolves around a group of heroes trying to ‘Catch ‘em all’, but one being the main character, who takes on the challenge most. ‘em being lots of frankly weird animal/monsters which are fairly small, and are captured with Pokéballs, or Monster Balls (Japanese) which allow them to be carried around in your pocket, hence Pocket Monsters, hence Pokémon.

Originally a Japanese idea, piloted by Nintendo, it quickly expanded all over the world as a gameboy game, originally there was the Red and Green version of the game in Japan. When the games were released in English the titles were only Red and Blue. Blue was only purchasable in Japan later on via a magazine.

There was also a hugely successful anime programme, from which the themes originate and this also spawned another version of the game, based more upon the journeys of our Hero Ash Ketchum, and his faithful, if not pint sized, companion, Pikachu, hence the game being called Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition, but is usually simply shortened to Yellow.
