Get On Top

Most of this week, I was debating whether to write a serious post about genres or varying musical tastes, or whether to cop out and just write a list of music-related top 5s. What did I do? Here's your answer.
Top 5 favourite artists:
1. At the Drive-In
2. The Mars Volta
3. Hope of the States
4. Placebo
5. Biffy Clyro
Top 5 songs that give you goosebumps:
1. Arcarsenal
2.
Black Dollar Bills
3.
Tensioning
4.
Something I Can Never Have
5.
Club Foot
Top videos:
Where's Your Head At
Sabotage
Feel the Pain
Just
Sugarcube
Top 5 bands that really got worse:
1. Feeder
2. Oasis
3. Stereophonics
4. The Offspring
5. Coldplay
Top 5 most futile and unrewarding waits for a hidden track at the end of an album:
1. Infinity Land
2. Love Is Here
3. In Utero
4. Ignoto
5. Start Something
Top 5 indecipherable lyrics:
1. Dead Goon
2. Alpha Centauri
3.
Cygnus...Vismund Cygnus
4.

5.
Captain Caveman
Let me know if you agree or disagree (it's not too hard to guess which). Anyway, there are more top 5s, along with more unbearably long connection lists, coming soon.

Hm, I see that you have In Utero in a list, but left
tourette's out of indecipherable lyrics.

I definitely considered tourette's, however after research I decided that the lyrics to that song are a slightly different definition of indecipherable to the 5 I chose. Tourette's seems to have no fixed lyrics, there are multiple interpretations of what he's actually screaming, and Cobain sang it differently every time they performed the track live. I chose five tracks in which the lyrics are fixed and are formed at least loosely into proper sentences, but still make you think huh? Basically we're getting into the semantics of the word indecipherable, and how it differs from the word nonsensical.
Believe me, you raise a good point, but I have actually put thought into this and purposefully left out tourette's, Cocteau Twins songs etc that lots of people would put in.
