We started a new feature on our hospital radio show today, the hate session.
Me and the prsenter both bring in a selection of music that we like, but we know the other person will despise, whoever's playlist generates the most hatred wins.
My hate-list for Chris:
Back To Black - Amy Winehouse
Hyperballad - Björk
99 Luftballons - Nena
Three fine ladies of pop, right there
Chris's hate-list for me:
What's New Pussycat - Tom Jones Basically a nursery rhyme, only less complex and about 300 times more obnoxious
Baby Got Back - Throwdown Throwdown are wankers, and them covering other people songs in an ironic fashion does nothing but drive home just how much they are wankers.
The Zephyr Song - Red Hot Chili Peppers That band is the height of smug, this song's not their worst. That isn't saying much.
Some R.E.M. Song I don't think it was too bad, but I zoned out halfway through and now I can't remember it. Just like every other REM song, then.
I won this time, but we're making this a weekly feature. If he discovers my dislike for the new Radiohead album then I'm screwed.
