About Me
waveradio.gr is an alternative web radio station broadcasting mainly from Athens Greece, covering a wide range of music scenes such as: electro, futurepop, new wave, indie, alternative, italo - disco, ebm, post rock, goth, house, pop, acid and techno.
waveradio.gr introduces the concept of "web radio producer": an internet user broadcasting on a web radio station, adjusting traditional radio techniques to the communication rules of the internet. He/she usually is introduced as a web persona with a certain nickname. He/she uses internet for updates, is an expert on a music genre and communicates with listeners by chat.
waveradio.gr's main goal is to contribute towards a change in Greece's landscape concerning the internet market, as well as to derive the benefits of a new and alternative means of communication.
After some time of thinking and deciding upon a main tag-line for the introduction of waveradio.gr we decided to conclude to a simple invitation for everyone who would like to share some moments of good music.
So, we just say... "welcome to the Wave"...
