P...
1 May 2007, 08:13
i am here putting off writing papers. school makes me want to die all the time.
i have started to go through my music by letter. the other day i went through the P's. It is kinda weird to be faced with some of the great music i own. yet no matter how often something causes a "wtf" i never delete it.
so the Ps - i have around 8 gigs of P-Artists and here are some of the honorable mentions with random, perhaps irrelevant comments attached.
PAS/CAL... they did a christmas 12" split with Asobi Seksu. they remind me of Belle and Sebastian or even a less whiney The Decemberists
Pat Benatar... i don't feel i need to elaborate
Pit Er Pat... a unique sound. fresh vocals. from Chicago
Peaches... nothing new here. sometimes i can love it and sometimes it feels a bit annoying
Phoenix... sometimes when i am getting music written down on month old lists i have no clue. so i was surprised and not overly impressed - but the album will get a couple more chances before i pass my final judgment.
Poe... Angry Johnny. i never saw a point in anything beyond that.
Pop Chocolat... nice girly pop rock trio. can't imagine who they could remind me of. >チャットモンチー<
The Presidents of the United States of America... loved the first album when it came out, catchy as hell. at this point i usually just listen to Lump.
Primus... i love Primus because i love Les Claypool.
Portishead... a long time favorite. Beth Gibbons still has one of the best voices.
some dishonorable mentions:
Port Of Notes... dunno what i thought this was gonna be but what it is ended up being was disappointing.
P.O.D.... i can't help myself i have to always sing along to Alive
Papa Roach... i remember really liking their new sell-out sound and always singing Scars in the shower and in the car and stuff, but it has been awhile and it just didn't seem as great as i remembered.
Pushover... why? i have never listened to the cd. i have a signed copy *gag*. whatever.
i am a bad music parent. full of neglect. i need methods to reintroducing artists into my memory bank.
P, Partial Lobotomy
