Pheeew, where to start... as a whole album, I really like 'The Letting Go' where he sings with Dawn McCarthy of Faun Fables. Beautiful. Enjoy sharkbones!

When you get hold of a good chunk of dolphin, don't forget to spit some my way! Wow you should really catch up on Kyuss soon, starting with 'Welcome to Sky Valley'. Rock on Jaws!

As for Okkervil River! You should definitely listen to their older records, especially if you liked The Stage Names and Black Sheep Boy. My favourite is Down The River Of Golden Dreams. I haven't heard their new album either, but I will, some way or another ;D Have you heard of Shearwater? Totally essential if you like Okkervil River.

Thanks so much for your reply, all of that was a great help to me. I think what I might end up doing is putting myself through some intense self-education during the next two years, try and cram some drawing skills into my brain. And what you said about moving in other directions as well sounds perfect. Only I find 3D animation pretty painful to watch unless it's done very well or has a great plot to support it. It seems like there are so many aimless shows out there, taking advantage of the new 3D craze which isn't even all that new, but stemming from the Shrek-era, anyway. It seems kind of tacky now. It's beyond me, why studios choose to go with that low-quality 3D look than smooth traditional animation. I guess that's just the industry advancing. In any case, thanks loads for offering me your experience.

Just noticed that you're an animator! You have to tell me -- is it everything it's cracked up to be? I decided that animating just looked too awesome to pass up in this lifetime, but I'm having doubts about whether I have the ability. My drawing skill are mediocre at best =\ Would you mind telling me you learnt to draw? Was it something you picked up by yourself, did you take courses, etc?

Nope Jess Chambers is purely kiwi/NZ!! And she is absolutely wonderful, I am going to see her live next month! Am very very thrilled :D AND I cannot believe you haven't seen EVS!!! GO AND GET IT OUT - NOW! I saw it four times at the movie theatre - the most I have ever spent on one film, as well as buying the soundtrack and film as soon as both came out... Soundtrack is the cutest thing ever, up there with Juno I think! FoTC are wonderful aren't they? Guess what, I've met Bret Mckenzie, and danced with him... The sexy thing, lol. He wore a baby blue suit which featured bell bottoms, very stylish hehehe.
