About Me

When everything changes, sometimes, one need to find those certain constant features that make you follow a straight line, or well, at least a line that gives sense to your days. The Baltic Sea is, somehow, the answer to one of those periods of disaster which finally open better times that the ones the sadness came from.

The Baltic Sea got together in Sevilla (Spain) in April 2006, when Esteban Ruiz started to work on some ideas he came up with after a few personal disasters, counting on Javier Vecino, Raúl Pérez and Kiko Ramos as musicians.

The band songs speak about drama, happiness, Neil Young and The Beatles, crisis, the hability to forget what hurts and keep what's inspiring from sadness, the Polar Circle, Bergen, airports and mornings that make you realize you are a bit further, NYC and the Morning Star at 57, 9thAve, some certain disappointments, absent friends, the worst summer, needing to escape all the time, love and hate, lonelyness, hope.

Within this past year the band have played live with bands such as The Sunday Drivers, Second, Farrah or Catpeople and has also been working on the songs to be in their first album, "Forthcoming Science Theory" which has already been recorded and will be in stores in fall 2007, released by Pupilo Records
