After reading a few threads on some photography forums I went with the Pentax over the Nikon, for the same money as the Nikon you get a dust removal system, weatherproofing, a 10mp sensor and the ability to use all the older pentax lenses. It feels more solid than the Nikon as well. I'm a fan of things that are built like a tank.
